TYPES OF WASTE SERVICES

  • Solid Waste: Otherwise known as municipal solid waste, is any time of garbage or refuse. This is the most general form of waste that most people are familiar with. They are usually insoluble and cannot be recycled or repurposed. The waste is generally taken to a landfill.
  • Organic Recycling/Composting: Most commonly known as composting, this recycling process takes organic refuse such as food, plants, and anything that was once living. The process decays and turns the waste into compost which is often used for fertilizers.
  • Co-Mingled Recycling: Co-mingled recycling refers to plastic, glass and metal materials that can be recycled.
  • Single Stream Recycling: Similar to commingled recycling, single stream recycling also allows paper within the mix. So in summary, single stream recycling allows for paper, plastic, glass, and metal all within one collection.
  • Paper/Cardboard Recycling: Any paper products, including cardboard materials.
  • Kitchen Grease/Oil: Any grease or oil left over from cooking. This option is perfect for those in the food industry who produce significant amount of leftover cooking grease.
  • Construction Demolition/Debris: Any byproduct from construction sites, such as masonry material, stone, glass, wall coverings, drywall, lumber, plumbing fixtures, heating equipment, wiring, insulation, carpeting, metal, etc.
  • e-Waste: Any electronic waste, including, but not limited to: computers, laptops, cellphones, televisions, monitors, calculators, alarm clocks, radios, printers, etc.
  • Document Shredding: If your business consistently produces sensitive documents, we can find you service providers who will shred your documents regularly.
 

SERVICE FREQUENCY

The service frequency required by each user can vary greatly. It depends on the size of your container, the type of waste, as well as how much waste is generated at your location.
Most of our current residential users require once a week pick-up for solid waste, with varying can sizes depending on their needs.
Most of our commercial users require a more frequent pick-up schedule. Varying from 3 times a week to everyday pick-up for solid waste.
Recyclable waste which does not decay and emit unpleasant odors may be picked up less frequently. If you are still not sure what your service frequency should be, please contact us.
